King sized beds are great in RL. Two people close enough to be cosy, far enough apart to have enough personal sleeping space.

Second Life™ seems to take this concept to the exteme. Ok, now before I begin, I’m not saying that EVERY SINGLE furniture maker in SL™ is incapable of making a bed any smaller than the size of China. But it’s fairly common to see massive beds and I just don’t get it.

Ok, so our avatars in game are tall anyway…. mine is in the 7 feet tall range. But even though my avatar is this height, a lot of furnishings I come across (beds in particular) drown my avie!

Take the bed above, for example. My seven foot tall avatar is only just over half the length of the bed. Who needs a 12 foot bed?! And width wise…. erm, wow… we could get half of Russia in here!

And this one too…..

The bed post is about 10 feet tall!! Can you imagine this type of sized furniture in real life? You’d have to have an elevator just to get into bed and a frikkin bungee cord to get back out again!

Anyway, just an observation!
