Tymmerie your entire point was wrong. They dont want it to be isolated not only for "Selling" purposes but for educational, and family experiences. Adult Grid is not your heaven for adult grid as already stated. In fact i'm sure 10+ people on your list are teens themselves.

[...] it not being in preparation for the teen and adult grid merge is absolute bullshit, if you ask me. I posted not long back on Phil Linden’s interview in which he said he wanted the grids merged! However, there are enough rants on blogs as it is without me adding to it. Suffice to say that I [...]

my oldest is waiting with great anticipation for the day she turns 13 in high hopes that I will relent, sit over her shoulder and help her navigate the teen grid.

She's not going to be very pleased if LL decides to merge the two as I will definitely not relent my stance that even 13 is a bit too young to be in a a virtual world with open chat sans adult on the shoulder.

What a shame this will be.

I don't think LL should require age verification not because I'm against it but because it's still too easy to get around and falsify information. end the freebie accounts.

NOOO!! I really, really hope the teen grid is never mixed with the adult grid. What a terribly stupid idea. Really, there needs to be a place where adults can do adult things and not worry about kids being around (ok - I agree that the adult grid is rife with under-agers - but that is LL's own fault for not requiring age verification and allowing totally free accounts.) SL is a an adult place and I value that.

But there is a solution for content makers on the teen grid now (well, maybe it was a solution before too, IDK.). With LL owning SLstreet (or whatever they call Slexchange now) and OnRez they can help content creators sell their items to adults. No, it isn't the same as having a store - but it would serve two purposes: 1) give adults even more reason to visit the new SL commerce site to find new things, and 2) the teen content creators can build up a reputation so that when they graduate to the adult grid they will already have a customer base.

Gawd, I never realized how stoopid Rosedale could be. With a little attention, the teen grid could be built into something wonderful...and the adult grid would not have to be ruined in the process.
