Oh Dear, Oh Dear, Oh Dear
Since the start of 2009 (which was only a week ago in reality) there have been 11 separate reports on the bad news page of in world problems. These have included anything from voice being down, to support not working, the wiki messing up and of course ‘In world issues – teleporting, transactions and all that good stuff.’ Ok, so forgive me for sounding a little blunt here but that’s pretty shit, isn’t it?
And of course working in real estate in game means that every time something goes wrong because of the incompetance of Linden Lab, it becomes 100% my fault. I personally took teleporting away from the entire grid the other day, you know. And of course I single handedly (in fact, not even a single hand… I did it all with my little fingernail) stopped transactions from working. So, as I am getting rather royally pissed off with the issues this week, I thought I would have a little vent. This vent will take the form of suggested additions to the Terms of Service. Namely the following:-
- Do not expect service from us.
- If you get service, do not expect it to last.
- If you get service that lasts for more than a week without problems, we will increase your tier by 67%
- If you get more service that lasts any longer than that, we will also lower your prims.
- We may charge your card when we have promised you we have not even kept your details on file, dno’t worry about that. It’s just to keep you on your toes.
- You agree to shut the fuck up and let us continue messing it all up. Failure to do so will see you suspended by an incompetent arse who is incapable of verifying the authenticity of an abuse report before acting upon it.
- You agree that we may make up these terms as we go along.
I wonder if I should contact their PR office about a job….
