I find that witting in a kind, respectful, non-profane, constructive style that highlights the positive aspect of your topic and downplays the negative cultivates users (and thus comments) that are nothing but honey and milk.

To say I am loved is an understatement. Perhaps people might feel this way about Jesus, but he no doubt declines all the sex and drug offers, so I am bigger.

While my blogs aren’t aimed at pissing anyone off like some [deleted] male bloggers (yes that was a [deleted] sexist comment) I enjoy the banter of well thought out, wry and frankly [deleted] real feedback to any blog.

Although image managers will tell you that [deleted] everything in media is edited to a degree.

/me adds more profane keywords to her poetry blog…and hides her pixel pregnancy with a well placed feather boa…

I do police my comments for “adult content” or spam…I want to be family friendly, but if you can’t handle criticism than you should not be writing.

The prim baby protection unit want me dead, Adric…. I had a visitor last night. He turned up at my door step covered head to toe in a black cloak. Then this morning, I woke up next to a horse’s prim baby’s head and a note saying, “See you in Hell, bitch.”

It’s interesting that you made a ranted opinion, on the subject of giving opinions.

I’m glad that there is freedom of thought.

A kind of additional and complimentary piece to your rant would be that people also have the right NOT to hear opinion. If you’re reading something, like your blog for example, and wish to weigh in to a fair blogger who will hear feedback that’s fine. And if you really dont’ like what you see close it.

What I’m talking about is the people who, in RL or SL (though blessedly we have mute in SL) choose to tell you just what they think of you or what you do, under the banner of “It’s just my opinion and I’m entitled to it”. It’s a broad phrase that people think gives them the right to say what they want to anyone, so my addition to this would be:

Someone should have their opinion, but also recognise and respect when it’s not wanted.
