2009 is winding up and the end of the year means that us bloggers have a damn easy life when it comes to making ‘what should I post?’ decisions. Yes, cue Second Life blogs all lining up “Best of” list posts summing up the year. And I will proudly jump on the bandwagon. I present…. a year in the blogosphere! These are (in my humble opinion) the best posts of the year (from the blogs I follow, of course)!

January: The first month of 2009 saw some pretty awesome posts but one in particular made me laugh until I cried pixel tears. Prad Prathivi’s take on how to get over your SL-EX is awesome. Read it here.

February: Tymmerie Thorne shared a conversation with her Mother (real life) back in February. Oh, the joy of trying to explain Second Life and Second Life jobs! Read it here.

March: The Second Life Herald wrote in March about Linden Lab’s email getting spam-listed. That had me chuckling! Read it here.

April: Hamlet Au’s post on the pixel pig flu was one of my favourite through April. Read it here.

May: This post on gender on 2nd Sex was really well put together and pretty interesting reading. Read it here.

June: In June, NPIRL’s Bettina Tizzy posted a very useful and informative piece on alternative viewers, which persuaded me to use a non-Linden Lab viewer for the first time. Read it here.

July: Second Life’s premier comedienne had me laughing out loud with this post on profiles. Read it here.

August: House Ragu’s take on Second Life fashion was one of those posts that made me say, “Well said!” out loud. Read it here.

September: Torley Linden’s post on the official Second Life blog, aptly entitled ‘How to mute jerks who are annoying you,’ is arguably the most useful tutorial ever for new residents. Read it here.

October: Chestnut Rau’s post on content theft made for fascinating reading in October. Read it here.

November: Adric’s take on Thanksgiving made me laugh until my sides ached. Read it here.

December: Gotta love good news – particularly in the month of festivities. The Metaverse Tribune reported on Da Vinci Isle’s fundraising efforts for War Child. Read it here.

So there you have it. The 12 best posts, in my opinion, in the Second Life blogosphere from 2009.
