Inspired by Paula…
This post has been removed.
Well obviously not removed cos it’s still here. But this post isn’t what it was anymore.
I was really affected by a comment (which is still below) which pointed out how bitter word battles just end up making the blogs trashy – although the commenter put it bit more nicely than that lol! And as much I maintain my stance on everything I have said, this is now a post that ranks in search engines (as of 31st August) within the top 5 for searches around the name of the individual it was about. I have changed this title and content and those rankings should soon disappear. I can’t deny that I carried out work to make it rank. Immediately after posting and in my anger about the things she was saying about my RL r/ship, I schedules an article with a backlink to this post under the appropriate anchor text, to distribute to a number of article sites. I don’t deny it. I deliberately made it rank. And now, with a much calmer outlook, I am deliberately making it ‘unrank’.
Granted, it’s not a massively searched keyword according to Google’s data. Not at all. But the point is that the few people who do search that are looking for information about that individual and while I maintain everything that was posted here was the truth, I have no right to force my drama down the throats of people just looking for a bio or some info about someone.
What one of the commenters below pointed out is that this blog isn’t supposed to be about drama. And I absolutely concur with that point. Posting drama really does make people who come here for lighthearted fun (which is what the blog is supposed to be about) feel uncomfortable. So I made the decision to remove the stuff that was in this post, change its meta title and change, in turn, the sour mood that’s been hanging over Pixel Scoop.
I have no interest in even a civilized friendship or acquaintance-ship (is that even a word?) with that individual but, as the commenter below said (something that really struck a chord with me) there’s dignity in silence. In my ideal world what I would get from her is silence and she the same from me.
She can continue to lie about me if she likes and that’s all fine. The only people who matter are wise enough to know that it’s a tabloid version of events!! But I feel an entire sense of a weight shifting by removing this and being done with drama and hideousness.
So I apologise to the people who read Pixel Scoop purely for light hearted entertainment, for the heavy and sour note that plagued the blog over the last few days. I also apologise to the friends who had to put up with my bitching like a teenage girl the past couple of days and I apologise to my beautiful girlfriend for having to show her every bit of correspondence/blog post etc between the said individual and myself (just to justify my actions). She didn’t particularly care to see the stuff and like she said, “Childish and really lacks perspective.”
We’re all change and moving into much more fun territory
I’m drawing inspiration from the quotes of friends, family and famous:
Gf: “In the grand scheme of things, what does this all matter? It doesn’t affect me and you, it doesn’t affect your son and it doesn’t make an iota of difference to anyone who cares about you. Let it go.”
Sister: “Grudges only ever end in tears.”
Best friend: “Fight fire with fire and you’re gonna end up accused of arson, mate. Don’t fight fire at all… run as quick as you f***ing can out the door and get away from it.”
Dr. Seuss: “Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple.”
William H. Walton: “To carry a grudge is like being stung to death by one bee.”
Jill Niedzwiecki: The High Road can be a lonely place, but the smooth ride and the beautiful view are much more satisfying.”

Hi guys…
I appreciate all the feedback here, I do! But sweeping statements like Josie and T’s are kind of turning this into a “we hate skylar” thread, which isn’t as it was intended.
I wanted to make a point, that I feel I made successfully. I’m honestly unsurprised that people are reacting to it – I’ve had emails through the contact form too. And it seems there’s a lot of “congratulations,” heading my way. Again, I reiterate that I appreciate that, but I don’t want congratulating.
I wanted to clear my own name of the lies told about me and my relationship with my RL gf. I don’t want a hate thread and any personal issues anyone else has with Skylar really aren’t my business.
I won’t close the post to comments, as I have a policy on this blog of not doing that, but I discourage anyone talking personally of their own drama with Skylar.
Thank you guys

Sorry jos I know you don’t want a troll post but I gotta say this made me lol lol lol. I’m so happy to read this about second lifes biggest bitch. She’s the source of all drama i hear about and the written word community hates her. I’m happy to see you moving on. Congratulations

I have left this comment on Skylar’s blog and yours too as it is for both of you. Please read it properly.
Gosh you two this makes me so sad to see. I’m an observer of both your blogs since your theater production in summer 2009. You’re smart people and really inspiring to a lot of virtual world users. The work you did inspired me to start telling real world friends and family about Second Life. I could explain its benefits by talking about things like the work you carried out.
People love your blogs because they’re not usually drama blogs or gossip fests. What both of you are doing reads to outsiders like two people reeling at the loss of something and taking hits at one another on a public platform and there is already enough of that in Second Life. Read your previous posts and look at the names of the people who comment. In these dramatic posts you have alienated your regular readers and subscribers because the audience who loves your blogs isn’t in Second Life for drama and does not want their name associated with it. Don’t you realize? I look to both of you as Ambassadors for Second Life and as two younger people who are using virtual worlds for good rather than for sex or fraud or anything evil. Right now you’re proving nothing more than that drama really is everywhere.
I’ve worked as a legal professional for more than 30 years and last year I researched international digital law extensively for a large green charity that I volunteered to support and I know that none of you have a case anywhere from what I see. If authorities investigated every war of words that went on in cyberspace they would have no time to do anything else. The saddest thing is that this war is just another of thousands of bitter digital battles and you are both better than that. So for thousands of people who read your blogs and for people who see you as an example of good virtual world citizens I plead with you to down your swords. I can’t explain how sad it makes me to see this. One of you has to take the high road. Two fabulous brains embroiled in a war like this will only end up in a wreck. Nobody earns victory in a battle like this. If you can no longer work together then learn to respect each other and be silent. After all you achieved together silence is a deserved dignity.
I hope you realize what you risk doing to your blogs with this and I hope one of you takes the high road. Do virtual worlds a favor and don’t take away two of only a handful of blogs that prove their worth.
Paula
Congratulations Josue. This took a lot of courage and I am so happy you realized that this is the best thing to do.
Thank you for returning this blog to the happy place I love. After you took your step, soo too did Skylar and I hope of you feel happier for it.
I hope you see the work of you and Skylar maybe even together again in the future.
Josue Habana
Hi Paula,
Thank you for your comment – both the most recent and yesterday’s wake up call.
She and I won’t ever work together again on any projects in SL, but I am sure she will continue to work on other projects. And last year, after I contacted George Watsky and invited him into SL to perform (which was such a wonderful event) I also contacted some other awesome poets. Shortly following this, I had to cut the SL time drastically so it was not possible to continue. But I’m going back through those “yeses,” as we speak and myself and my super talented friend, Bubbles Komachi will be bringing some incredible RL talent in world over Autumn and winter. Not just poets, but other literary figures too. So keep an eye on avatarwrites.com for more info about the literary events that I’ll be involved in.
Thanks again Paula
